CAMBADA (acronym of Cooperative Autonomous Mobile roBots with Advanced Distributed Architecture) is the RoboCup middle-size league soccer team of the University of Aveiro, Portugal. This project started officially in October 2003. The team has participated in several RoboCup competitions, namely, RoboCup2004, RoboCup2006, DutchOpen2006, RoboCup2007, RoboCup2008, RoboCup2009, GermanOpen 2010, RoboCup 2010 and in the last seven editions of the Portuguese Robotics Open: Robotica2004, Robotica2005, Robotica2006, Robotica2007, Robotica2008, Robotica2009 and Robotica2010.

CAMBADA middle-size robotic soccer team is now the Portuguese five times Champion, have won the 1st place in the Portuguese Robotics Open 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007, ranked 5th in the RoboCup World Championship 2007, won the RoboCup World Championship 2008, ranked 3rd in the RoboCup World Championship 2009, 2nd in the RoboCup German Open 2010 and more recently placed 3rd in the RoboCup World Championship 2010 and 2011. CAMBADA also won the 1st place in the RoboCup World Championship MSL Technical Challenge in 2009 and the 1st place in the RoboCup World Championship MSL Scientific Challenge in 2011.
