2017/10/25: Nuno Almeida won the 1st place in the Fraunhofer Portugal Challenge 2017, an award recognizing the best ideas with practical utility based on PhD theses. His thesis, entitled “Multimodal Interaction: Contributions to Simplify Application Development”, brings the development of interaction for rich multidevice ecosystems into a new level, by facilitating the proposal of multimodal interactive applications that are multidevice, multiplatform and multilingual. This is a great achievement for Nuno, his supervisors António Teixeira and Samuel Silva (who also won the Fraunhofer Challenge, in 2012), for IEETA and University of Aveiro.
